Accessibility Information

Below is some information to help those who may need to prepare the documents we use and the technology we access in advance. Please note that this may not be a comprehensive overview of accessibility information - if you have any questions, please reach out in advance to m.l.bondar@greenwich.ac.uk so I can do my best to make the content of this workshop available to you.

Technology

This workshop is occasionally done in person, but more often presented online. This should be made clear on the Eventbrite when you register for a ticket.

When presented online, the technology used is Teams. Discussions and breakouts will occur during the workshop. While I appreciate it if you can be on video, it's definitely not required.

The course also uses a tool called Mentimeter for class interaction. It is used to vote on different topics and elicit Twitter-style feedback at times.

Mentimeter can be accessed via your computer browser or using your phone. You do not have to sign up for an account to use it. You can learn more about Mentimeter in the video. While it is focused on making a Menti, the user experience is highlighted from 4:07-4:56.

The workshop ends with a brief survey done on Microsoft Forms. Approximately 5 minutes are allotted to this activity during the workshop but it is possible to complete it after the workshop.

Files

You can click the button below to access a Dropbox file with all the documents that may be used during the workshop.

There you will find:

  • PDF of a review called The Two- Metre Rule, which can also be accessed here: https://totaltheatre.org.uk/the-two-metre-rule/

  • PDF and Excel Sheet for the Cultural Cognition Quiz

  • A PowerPoint Template for Building Your Own Cult (only one person in your breakout group really needs access to this)

Content Warning

Please note that this workshop does use the concept of cults in a rather flippant way. If you have been negatively affected by cults, you may not enjoy this workshop. If this applies to you and you'd still like to know more about the research that underpins this workshop, I would be happy to meet and chat with you at a different time. Please reach out to me at m.l.bondar@greenwich.ac.uk.
